The throne at room at Windsor Castle was where King Edward held court to visitors from around the world. From the lowliest peasant asking for justice to foreign diplomats and Royalty seeking his advice and blessing. The large room was more of a hall than a throne room, the kings throne was set upon a dais at the opposite end of the room to the doors where people entered, on the marble floor courtiers, knights and noble ladies were served by servants as they sat upon the chairs around the large tables beneath the king. And beneath them again sat anybody else on long benches or the floor.
