The Teutonic order is special in the fact that their are more soldiers than citizens. Soldiers from other nations come to join the Order. Though all the soldiers are members, very few live in the orders territory. Only Ritterbruder, Halbrudder and Professional Archers stay in the orders land. Others are only called upon to fight in a crusade or other major undertakings.

Ritterbruder (Elite knights): 300,000
The Ritterbruder is made ofthe orders elite. Experienced, brutal, fearless fighters who strike fear into the hearts of their enemy. Some say they are God's own knights.
Halbrudder(Elite infantry): 400,000
Making up the bulk of local Teutonic forces, Halbrudder are soldiers who are not full Ritterbruder, yet fight at the level of any elite from other nations. They too are feared by many.
Professional Archers: 500,000
Experienced archers who can rain arrows faster than any other. Enemy forces fear advancing on Teutonic formations from fear of being pierced by their arrows.
